Education Outside the Classroom
All students take part in an intensive Outdoor Educational programme in their Y7 and Y8 year. Involvement in the outdoors is an important aspect in a child's learning and offers new challenges, team work and opportunities for personal growth and confidence building.

Outdoor Eductaion:
Activities the Y7 students participate in, as part of Outdoor Education, include:
kayaking, rock climbing, high rope challenges, archery, raft building, orienteering, tramping, outdoor cooking, water safety (theory and practical), first aid, community service. This week is held during the first term.
Camp:
Year 8 students attend Camp also during Term 1. The venue for the annual camp is Finlay Park, just south of Cambridge.
The students attend for four days and activities they take part in, include:
kayaking, go-karting, power station study, animal survival, rocket boat rides, overnight survival experience, waterslides, flying fox.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the students and an experience they treasure for the rest of their lives.
Other Outdoor Experiences:
Throughout the year there will be a number of different opportunities for students to take part in outside activities. These may be class related to related to specific cultural / sporting activities. Individual teachers are responsible for these.
