Our Enrolment Process
Enrolment Dates
We offer two enrolment periods per school term:
- Start of Term: New students must enrol to start on the first day of each term.

Why do we have this enrolment program?
- Consistency for Teachers: This program allows teachers to plan and adjust their teaching strategies based on a more stable class program.
- Individualised Support: Interviews with new students and their families help us understand their unique needs and ensure a smooth transition.
- Effective Placement: By enrolling students at specific times, we can better place them in classes that align with their academic level and learning style.

School report
The board has determined that a number of places are likely to be available for out-of-zone students next year. The exact number of places will depend on the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zone. If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If a ballot is required it will be drawn on Wednesday 3rd September, 2025. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three – five school days of the ballot being held.
Out-of-zone priority order:
- Priority 1 will be given to applicants who are siblings of students currently attending Northcross Intermediate.
- Priority 2 will be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.
- Priority 3 will be given to any applicant who is a child of a former student of the school.
- Priority 4 will be given to applicants who are children of board employees.
After the ballot has been completed all in-zone students and successful out-of-zone students are sent "Next Steps" part of our enrolment process with a link to a Google form where they share information about their child.
