Our young mathematicians have done it again! Our Year 7 and Year 8 teams recently competed in the fast-paced Auckland-wide Mathex competition, and they truly rose to the challenge.

Mathex is a high-stakes, problem-solving competition that attracts roughly 150 teams at each year level. In this intense event, teams race against the clock to solve as many challenging math problems as possible.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that all of our teams finished in the top 10 for their year level—an outstanding achievement that highlights their dedication and quick thinking.

A huge congratulations is especially in order for our Year 7 team of Emily Zhao, Sarah Wei, Allen Bai, and Yeonjun Moon, who won first place! (Photo above) They showcased incredible teamwork and mathematical skill, answering all 20 questions correctly in less than 20 minutes.
