At athlete development we want kiwi kids to be the most capable young people in the world when it comes to engaging with physical activity and sports.
By helping to develop kids who are robust and resilient, we allow them to avoid injury and make the most of training and games. Building confidence and independence allows kids to improve their problem-solving skills and deal with difficult situations as they arise in any setting. By growing athletic and competent movers, we allow kids to be the best they can be.

March 2026 - East Coast Bays Hockey are excited to introduce a dedicated Winter Youth Grade for Year 8–10 players. This competition offers meaningful game time, alongside professional coaching and structured skill development for players of all abilities.

Rugby Training
We are Arlo Leith and Jacob Buckley, we are running a Rugby Skills Holiday Camp this April aimed at intermediate school players looking to take their game to the next level.
The sessions will focus on improving core rugby skills such as passing accuracy, tackling technique, footwork, decision making, and game awareness through structured drills and competitive game scenarios.
I captained the First XV last year and have competed at regional and national level, while Jacob is an Academy of Sport athlete and a strong leader within school rugby. We are passionate about helping developing players improve their skills and confidence.
Camp sessions will run during the school holidays:
• Wednesday 15 April — 1:00pm-4:00pm
• Friday 17 April — 9:00am-12:00pm
Spots are limited to 50 players per session to ensure high-quality coaching and individual attention.

Snow Sports - Snow Planet
School Holiday Programs
Offers a great environment for children aged 5-16 years to learn and progress in the world of snow sports.
Throughout the program children are separated into groups depending on their age, skill level and choice of skiing or snowboarding, and are instructed by our friendly Ski & Board School instructors to advance their snowsports skills.

5-Day Program
Monday 6th April to Friday 10th April
Monday 13th April to Friday 17th April
$439 per person per program.
Start time:
- 9:00am – 11:00am
- 2:00pm – 4:00pm
School holiday program includes
- A one-hour fifty-minute lesson each day (includes snow pass) with one of our friendly Ski & Board School instructors as per session times above.
- 10 minute feedback and snack session at the end of each day.
- Rental equipment for each day (skis, boots and poles or snowboard and boots and a helmet, excludes clothing).
Warm suitable clothing is required. The School Holiday price does not include rental clothing, gloves or wrist guards. These can be hired at the below costs. Alternatively, you can purchase basic retail items from Snowplanet on your arrival. For further details click here.
- Minimum age requirements apply (ski: 5+, snowboard: 7+).
- Program placement is based on ability; the program follows a structured progression and requires consistent attendance.
- Skis or snowboard, boots, and helmets are provided as part of the program (clothing is not included).
- Missed sessions are NOT eligible for a make-up, credit or refund.
