Three NX teams had the opportunity to participate in the recent 2026 North Shore Book Battle, generously sponsored by Barfoot & Thompson and Scholastic. This year there were over 250 participants, spanning across nearly 60 teams of Year 5-8 students from across the North Shore. Students were required to read specific novels over the last six months and be prepared to answer very precise questions about the content.

We are thrilled to report that our Northcross A team, Charlie, Sophia, Apple and Evie, took out 1st place in this incredible competition (banner photo above) – an amazing achievement!
