On Friday 29 August, along with many around New Zealand, Northcross supported the 2025 Daffodil Day, the annual fundraiser for the Cancer Society.

With the startling statistic of 1 in 3 Kiwis impacted by cancer during their lifetime Daffodil Day is New Zealand’s chance to push back against this invasive disease.

This fundraiser was run across all the schools involved in our Community of Learning and organised by the Student Leaders of each school.

Our CoL Student Leaders – Chloe, Jason, Takodah, and Zachary – organised a ‘Wear Yellow for Daffodil Day’ event, along with a ‘Guess the Height of the Giant Daffodil’ activity.

Bursts of yellow appeared across the school and a total of $1776.60 was raised for this very worthy cause.
